moe1965 746 #1 Posted May 25, 2016 I have a raider 10 tractor and I bought a raider 12 for parts. I noticed that the axle is a little longer than the one on the raider 10 and the shaft is 1 1/8. The shaft is one inch on the raider 10 trans. Are there any other difference between the two.
953 nut 55,936 #2 Posted May 25, 2016 That would depend on the year, some changes over the years. Some years they both used the same, some they were different. Take a look at this list. wheelhorseallyears.pdf
stevasaurus 22,883 #3 Posted May 26, 2016 Your Raider 10 with the 1" axles is a Wheel Horse #5086 transmission. It has a 4 pinion differential. I think your brake drum is on your cluster gear shaft also. Your Raider 12 has the 1 1/8" axles. It is either a Wheel Horse # 5060, 5071 or 5073 transmission. All 3 of these are 10 pinion, limited slip differentials. The brake drum on the 5060 and 5071 would be on your 11/44 toothed gear...the hole closest to the axle housing. The 5073 would have the brake drum on the cluster gear shaft...the next hole toward the front of the transmission.
