First pass for my new 656

Recommended Posts

So I've bought many wheel horses, either they were complete to begin with, or they always stayed a bare tractor, etc. Today I made my first few passes with this 656 I recently got. Newer motor, and the deck that came with my Raider 9. Only thing I had to do was change the deck drive pulley from the larger raider 9 pulley, to the small near 1:1 pulley from the deck I have for my other 656. It's seen the torch unfortunately... but it had the exact pulley I needed. With a trip to the hardware store for a belt, I give you!

Tire chains will come off for mowing of course.

WHX??

Phones seem to want to do that Lane. I put em on my desktop first to check them then post. One of the guy's wife here thinks he is looking at centerfolds when he turns his laptop sideways. Tractor porn I think he said she called it!

Taking pics with your phone sideways always helps too...here ya go

So I have been working on a 656 I picked up at the end of last year and I did my first ever motor rebuild by my self on it. However it seems that I have lots of play in the piston and some slop at TDC more then I should have. So to finish the year mowing I am thinking of doing a predator swap while I go over the engine again. I am sure several people have done this before and I have a spare mounting plat to make it work. I am wondering if anyone has any pictures of ones they have done for help along the way. I know I will need a adapter to use the factory pulley and I don't want to destroy any of the sheetmetal since it is in good shape. I will keep you posted as I go along and eventually when I get the hh60 back together correctly to re install.
