clutch spring

Can anyone help me  I am looking for a clutch spring I have checked all the parts stores on line for one but they all say that it is dicontuned

Here is a NEW clutch spring # 6949.  Tip to tip is 4 1/2" long.  The coil is 3 1/2" long and the spring is about 1/2" dia.

??? What model tractor are you talking about. There's different springs. :doh:

it is a 1974 C120 8 Speed

The 1014 spring has been replaced by 83-2730.

Another part number that shows up is 108035.

I don't know which one works on the 552 but FYI, the 108035 is 7.75" overall. Can someone chime in who has a 552? I think the shorter one is for the C-120 :)

Between knowing the wire diameter, the diameter and the length of the spring, I would think you could find a spring at a good hardware or farm store that would work. I changed my clutch spring on my C101 from .100" diameter wire down to a spring that has a wire diameter of .080". Much easier on my bad left leg.

Thanks, I have a bad back with pain down that leg.

ill check that out, sounds like a good idea.
