DougC 2,641 #1 Posted May 19, 2016 My next project is to dig out the old 1956 Ford 860 and start the mowing project out by the hi-way where the grass is now about 2 feet tall. It's too much for my 520's to handle at this stage as much as I hate to admit it, ( I would hate to burn up a pto or deck and pto belt trying) but the 860 is equipt with a Woods shaft driven finish mower and if the blades are sharp will go through high grass and small trees (the deck has many dents and bends in it from mowing roads through my timber backwards.....yes there was beer involved then..... But i'm sure you had already figured that out... ) I start it and let it run once a week but I tend to pile stuff on it over the winter time so I'll let you sneak a peek....
82Caddy 851 #2 Posted May 19, 2016 Funny thing, my dad uses a woods mower behind his 8n to mow his property. It's not a finishing mower but with sharp blades it does a darn good job.
