USHorse 41 #1 Posted May 18, 2016 Doing some minor repairs so have a side panel and seat pan off. I decided to try some Rustoleum Regal Red gloss spray enamel as a tset in hopes that some day will do a tear down and respray . Should I be putting a clear coat on or is the enamel durable enough? 953 nut 56,155 #2 Posted May 18, 2016 Glad to see a member from Fabius, have a life long friend that lives on Cemetery Road near the route 20 end. He served on the School Board and all three of their children graduated from Fabius High. Sad to say he has a green and yellow garden tractor. As for the clear coat, unless you plan to wet-sand the entire panel to be painted and then clear it I wouldn't do it. The Rustoleum will do fine so long as it is being store under cover.
JimmyJam 542 #3 Posted May 18, 2016 I agree! Rustoluem Regal Red & that is it, is fine! If you were to do a restore then clear coat the entire piece!
