moe1965 746 #1 Posted May 14, 2016 (edited) Hello I'm finally getting back to my first wheel horse project this is going to be a two part question with two pictures hopefully if I can upload the two pictures. Question on the belt guard close to the engine there is a tab. Is this for the belt to rest on while the clutch is push down? Also the belt is very close and appears to be resting on the guard is there a adjustment for this or is this normal? Racinbob 11,257 #2 Posted May 14, 2016 The belt will ride on that tab when the clutch is depressed. It assisted the belt in clearing the pulley so it stops. When tensioned it should not touch the guard at all and it appears yours is. The tab on yours it was out of adjustment. According to the manual it should be 1/32" from the belt.
