ztnoo 2,298 #1 Posted May 12, 2016 Noticed this machine at an AuctionZip event. "3 point hitch, power take off 60" deck good running machine". Looks pretty interesting to me. http://www.auctionzip.com/auction-lot/1999-Massey-Ferguson-1225-Diesel-compact-tractor_E7449588FC/?email=73626b40696e64792e72722e636f6d&utm_source=house&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=exclusive&utm_content=cir051116 Anyone know anything about these tractors??? Sparky-(Admin) 21,337 #2 Posted May 12, 2016 I don't know anything about that tractor, but it's definitely a stout looking machine. Mike.....
Achto 27,609 #3 Posted May 12, 2016 This is not coming from me, but from a JD lover that I know. "When it comes to compacts the MF is a far better tractor than any compact that JD makes". Advantage over a Kubota would be a stronger pinion on the front axle, one common weak spot on the Kubota. I have had some seat time in a few different compacts and while no one makes the perfect tractor the MF compacts are pretty nice machines.

WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #5 Posted May 12, 2016 I was looking at the MF before I got a decent deal ($6500)on my used Kioti CK20 gear drive with front end loader and 60" MMM, on paper the MF has more power and lift capacity ,but weighs less, all in all they are ALL very comparable it all boils down to what fits YOU and your budget and parts availability might be a consideration, I have 2 Kioti dealers 1 5 miles away the other close to where I work which is also the TORO/WH dealer, and MF has a lot of their own attachments like front snow plows/blades blowers ect and has been around quite a while they're now part of the AGCO group (Allis Chalmers/AGCO,Challenger,MF,and other implements),where Kioti is Deadong from South Korea, but has been making heavy equipment since the 40's-50's, and made Bobcat for a few years a while back, and their engines are used in the 3-4 other brands like Mahindra ect...I personally think John Deere and Kubota are running on their names alone but that's just my ,Jeff. ztnoo 2,298 #7 Posted May 15, 2016 I just watched this online auction live. Prior bidding was at $800 before the live session started. It then went to $3000, and closed at $3200. There's a 10% buyers premium and a 5% AuctionZip premium on top of that. Total: $3680. It was purchased from the auction floor, but it had been won by an online buyer, there would have been an additional 3% credit card charge.
