lou thomas 2 #1 Posted May 10, 2016 I have a 37'' side discharge deck & I need a new set of blades. I'm not having any luck finding them, any suggestions ? Thanks.
WHX?? 50,778 #2 Posted May 10, 2016 Have you got a model number for the deck or part number for the blades? If so post them for us. Check your existing blades for a number stamped in them & if you can find the part number try googling it. I get 90% of my blades right off ebay this way. Resonably priced and right to your door. Oregon should have them https://www.oregonproducts.com/pro/products/oep/blades/blades.htm as well. I would think a couple of universal 19 0r 18 1/2 inch blades might work? WHX?? 50,778 #4 Posted May 10, 2016 Is that hole in the deck for inspecting the blades from the topside Dave?
lou thomas 2 #5 Posted May 10, 2016 THE DECK IS S#80728 & High lift blade kit # 108846 which is called a kit & has wings bolted to it, The inside blade # 109918. RCPW wants $125.00 just for the high lift blade. If I use 2 of the #109918 blades will the clippings blow into the bag properly ?

WHX?? 50,778 #8 Posted May 10, 2016 It does look like Toro is quite proud of those blades/kits. Time to go looking aftermarket my friend. TORO BLADE 18-3/4"X 3/4" REPLACES TORO 109918 Replaces: OREGON 91-817 PRIME LINE 7-04724 STENS 350-157 SUNBELT B1SB3468 TORO/WHEEL HORSE 10-9918 WINDSOR 50-2425 I guess for the price difference I wouldn't be afraid to try a pair, or any 18.75 high lift blade with the appropriate size mounting hole. I run these blades in my wife's 38" cut bagger with no problems. Keep the deck, discharge & chute clean you shoudn't either.

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,252 #10 Posted May 10, 2016 Here are 3 pages of files for the 37" side discharge deck and baggers. Perhaps they will help identify what you have. If 80728 is the serial number it may be a 1987 or 1988 model but that is just a wild guess. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/search/?&q=37in%20sd&type=downloads_file&page=1 Garry
lou thomas 2 #11 Posted May 10, 2016 Yes, I bought it new, with a 257-H tractor on 6-19-89 & use it every week. Any place in particular where I can order these blades cheaper ?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,252 #12 Posted May 10, 2016 Looks like only the right blade has the bolt on tab. The 07-07BK01 bagger uses the 108846 blade kit The 07-07BK02 bagger uses the 115083 blade kit which is substantially cheaper. I do not know what the difference is. Both show up as 1988 baggers and at one time I suspected the 02 was a service replacement model. Garry
lou thomas 2 #13 Posted May 10, 2016 VIN # 0537SK01 S#80728 is the # on my invoice for the mower deck. I'm a bit confused with all this info ?
WHX?? 50,778 #14 Posted May 10, 2016 Heres the IPL for the deck if you need it but don't go by the VIN from the deck as it uses the 109079 blade. The bagger was optional and came with a different set of blades that the dealer is to use when installing the bagger. it has nothing to do with the deck as it was probaly used on many different decks & tractors. Your bagger will have its own "VIN" or model & serial number. If you want the orginal style blades that came with the bagger you are SOL unless you want to pay what Toro dealers are asking and Garry is right the 115083 is a service kit. The best price for oem is here http://www.ebay.com/itm/TORO-HIGH-LIFT-BAGGING-BLADE-SET-115083-109918-/291435095550 or here http://www.amazon.com/GENUINE-OEM-TORO-PARTS-ASSY-HI/dp/B008TSWNUA but double check (ask) to see if both blades are included. Looks like the one on ebay is for both. $80 bucks is not the worst price if they lasted this long. I go thru a set of blades a year but I live in sand country and do lots of rough cutting. I can vouch for the ebay vendor as they have been really good to me on orders. Clear as mud right? Lots of times finding the right parts for your tractor can be frustrating unless you worked in a parts warehouse in a past life! dcrage 629 #16 Posted May 10, 2016 Lou I have run the 37" deck on my 310-8 for 25 years now (I am 99% sure my deck and your deck are the same with different mounting hardware) -- You DEFINITELY can run two of the normal blades in that deck -- Using a non-winged blade on the right may not 'lift' as well as the 'high lift' blade but it will definitely fill your collection bags -- I personally only use the 'high lift' blade during leaf collection season just to extend its life time I just put a new set of blades (Oregon) on my deck last week -- Don't know the #; got them from my used to be WH dealer -- They work fine
lou thomas 2 #17 Posted May 10, 2016 Thanks Dave, and a great idea to save the high lift blade for leaf collection. I will try two # 109918 blades & post the results. I have to share this, a while ago I passed a beautifully manicured lawn with a new " I think " John Deere in the driveway with a For Sale sign on it. In the back round was the homeowner " I think " cutting his lawn with a classic Wheel Horse Tractor. If I wasn't with my wife, I'm sure I would have had an interesting conversation. Thanks Guys for all you input. Lou.
daveoman1966 3,814 #18 Posted May 13, 2016 I just discovered a set of HIGH LIFT BLADE TIPS as Wheelhorse Part # 110974. I put them on Ebay and the item # is 131812640379. Would these be the blade adapters to suit your needs?
lou thomas 2 #19 Posted May 13, 2016 Thanks Dave, but the blades are split, I need all new stuff. I contacted Killians on line but haven't gotten a reply yet,
