WheelHorse79 271 #1 Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) Just an FYI. There is a nice '55-56 WH Senior for sale on the Richmond, VA Craigslist (tractor is actually in Harrisonburg). It's nice but not cheap, $5.5k. Check it out when you get a chance (I know we're not allowed to post CL links in the forum). WHX?? 48,762 #5 Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL.....I found it Here's what the guy has in the listing You won't see this in many Craigslist ads, maybe ever. This is one of the most rare Wheel Horse tractors ever made. Estimates are that around 600 were ever made, and only 25 or so are known to exist in original condition. This is one of them. This has the 8HP Wisconsin AEN engine and what I believe is a Ford Model A transmission (or something very, very similar to it), with one Reverse and three forward gears. This item will be on display at a downsizing sale this weekend, Friday and Saturday April 29th and 30th at 67 Stull Run Ln, Grottoes, VA. You may feel free to make offers, but this price is based on rarity and condition so low ball offers will be quickly rejected Check out the horses this dude has in the background...some nice round hoods it appears.... Is this guy a member here??? ...if not we need to recruit him (I'll even pay for his supporter status for some seat time) and get him to bring his harem to the Big Show!!! WheelHorse79 271 #16 Posted April 29, 2016 Is there a way to add this WH Senior to the Senior/Lever Steer registry? It would be nice to keep track of this one especially if the owner isn't a member here.
danjmah 71 #17 Posted April 30, 2016 I replied to the ad via CL, and here is the response: I posted this for my dad. He is retired and doesn't do much of anything on the internet. I doubt he's a member of any online group. He'd be happy to discuss it with you at the number provided. He was working a deal on it earlier today don't know if it's sold or not.

Looks like a nice restoration, not original. Maybe he meant original as in "not a John Deere that was turned into a Wheel Horse"? Like, "original" Wheel Horse?

Big-Game 91 #24 Posted May 2, 2016 Hello everyone, I spoke to (Charles) the owner of this Wheel Horse Senior that is For Sale. I have added him to the Registry making this tractor the 45th known Senior. Here is what we talked about, He purchased the tractor 6 years ago at the show in PA. He drives it around his acre lot every once in awhile to keep it lubed up. He is out of room and is selling this and some other Wheel Horse tractors. He hopes to get to the show this year & bring the senior if he still has it. He has grand children and health issues that take up a lot of his time. The tractor HAS been restored, but is original other than paint He is asking $5500, He knows what it is worth so don't waste his time with some lowball offer. If you can not find the ad on Craigslist contact me, he gave me permission to give out his number to interested parties. Thank You, Ron Greco rsgreco@embarqmail.com
