Lane Ranger 10,943 #1 Posted April 18, 2016 There are no pictures of the earliest Wheel Horse cart from 1956 in the gallery. The early cart was very low, had a flat back and did not dump from what I have been told. A friend bought a cart the other day that meets that general description. I am posting pictures but I am not sure when it may have been made.
stevasaurus 22,705 #2 Posted April 18, 2016 Nice find Lane. If this gets identified as a 1956, go ahead and put the pictures in the Gallery.
prondzy 3,881 #3 Posted April 18, 2016 (edited) With the decals that looks too new for a 56, @shynon has the same wagon we assumed it was from the 80's Edited April 18, 2016 by prondzy

wallfish 16,981 #6 Posted April 18, 2016 I thought the early carts were flat angled up in the back. Kind of like the tub carts but everything is angles and not curves.
Lane Ranger 10,943 #7 Posted April 18, 2016 Yes I own one of the LTD-24 carts but I think the earlier one had a flat back on it.

Shynon 7,459 #11 Posted April 19, 2016 Here's the one I have, no legible model number, has a serial # on the back gate.
Lane Ranger 10,943 #12 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Thanks Shynon and Craig for the pictures ! That helps a lot ! I have one of the slant backs which I brought to the Big Show. two years ago. I only saw one other like it at the show. The flat back is earlier and more rare I would say. The tonque mechanism is the key thing to look for on these. I have two other tub type dump carts but one is spoken for already ! Edited April 19, 2016 by Lane Ranger
