Mike_W 51 #1 Posted April 3, 2016 I bought an 876 in nice shape and came with a tiller with 5hp Kohler for power, can anyone point me to perhaps a manual? Initial inspection does not reveal any numbers or data tag.

Mike_W 51 #6 Posted April 3, 2016 Here is the picture from the craiglist ad, I will grab better pics on sunday. I did not see the unit listed in any of the manuals posted above, but perhaps I overlooked.

Looks nice
Mike_W 51 #8 Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) yes, will take pics today. searched the forum and could not find another. I'll dig for number on the unit today, motor looks like very little use, same with tines. I don't see a place to hook the cable riser to it, there are rollers in the crossbar. wallfish 16,980 #9 Posted April 3, 2016 Now that's an interesting find. I see it has a Wheel Horse decal but this is the first time I've ever seen one of those. Curious if it was actually branded for Wheel Horse or if someone added that decal. Seems that gas tank is from a Tecumseh so could be someone put it together but... I'm still trying to figure out how it attaches to the tractor. Whatever it is, I can tell you that updraft oil bath air cleaner is a good find just by itself. Have seen those sell for over $150 alone!
DougC 2,641 #10 Posted April 3, 2016 to the forum Mike! What a neat little tiller. First one like that I've seen.

Probably backyard engineering to adapt it, well done though.
Mike_W 51 #12 Posted April 3, 2016 Called the seller asking for manuals for it and he dug them out and I picked them up. It's a 1962 Planet Jr. Planetiller attachment model 0-31-j. As 953 nut suggest, some backyard engineering will be in order as he has no other hardware. He also dug out the manuals for the 876 tractor, sales brochure, some maintainance records. Parts list and instructions for the HY-6 unit. Owners manual for the Kohler engine. model K1815. Parts list and instructions for RM-367 mower deck. If anyone needs these I can scan them and upload. I did not find the 876 manual for download, just a link to a $20 one on the Toro page. I'll start a post with the tractor so I can ask some questions, I can post those on there. thanks all

Take a look at the rear axle, there should be a bracket attached to it that the pivot pins will clip into. All you need then is a flat bar from the sleeve hitch and a piece of chain or a rod to attach the two. The bracket will look like the one at the bottom of this photo.
