c85 1982 snowblower help

hi all new to site nice to here from yas  just installed snowblower on c85 and have to ask looks rite but man I get one heck of a work out lifting it up  does this sound normal or am missing something any input would be helpful thnx all what a great site

They make a lift assist spring for help lifting the snow blower a member on here sells them

thank you very much as I said this is quiet a bit of weight and the springs would mount where? the lift bar is round springs go to what and where.

Its goes on the on the bar where the foot rests mount. And to the flag. i found a picture of one on this forum.

Not all flags have the tab that the Eye Bolt is in.  May have to get another flag or do some welding...

It also helps to move the pin to the upper (i think) hole to attach the flag to the lift mechanism

I'm with Irv and Gary. They are heavy but you shouldn't have a VERY hard time lifting it unless the flag is mounted in the lower hole. Once you get that straight you can determine if you want or need to add the lift assist spring.
