Can anyone give me any information on how to run the cable for my blower. I can't find anything on it. :hide:

Dang..... that was tough to find the instructions for one of the older throwers! (the newer cable chute rotator models have what looks like a thread spool mounted on the rod to help speed up the turning process)
Anyhow - your wish is granted :o :

So do you have one for the newer style? Or even the whole manual.

All my manuals show the skinny one like DEZ has.

Thanks :hide:

This one? : :eusa-whistle:

(condensed and rearranged from the original manual - should cover 1975 to 1990 models)

I want to add an additional thanks to TT today, for posting the cable install sheets. B) I am starting to love new technology. I was having a problem with my chute cable and remembered this post. Instead of having to go inside and find my manual, I pulled this posting up on my Blackberry.

My chute cable is down to bare wire and started to slip in the crank shaft and would not hold. Found an old piece of green clothesline cable and it worked perfectly as a temporary replacement.

Does anyone think this should be "pinned" to the top here in the I & A forum? :ychain:

(at least until snow season is over)

sounds good to me, right next to the plow info.

I'll second that. Great information to have available when you need it.

I'll third vote that! I spent about 3 hrs one night trying to route a new cable. At the end of the process, i should have been thrown in a straight jacket for a few hrs just to get my bearings...(and learn my name again).

It would have made me happier than a gopher in soft dirt to find this diagram last year :ychain:
