I have no idea, but I would go to Lowes and check there.  They carry a whole bunch of different mower blades.   :)

I couldn't find them either, your '75 Deck should take #100202.

Actually measure your original blades;  the length is a diagonal measurement from one corner, thru the center of the center hole to the opposite/diagonal corner, allowing for the worn corners.  I think you'll find that the "Gator Blades" will be the most close in size, and if they are short a 1/4" is really no problem, I feel that Gator Blades are a much better choice than regular blades, in most cases, and will cost about the same (often Auto Stores can order them and you save on shipping if on regular deliveries, which is almost every day via their own trucks).

Good Luck, and let us know how you come out.

Try Napa for 3 of #7-04536.

These blades have the 5/8" x 3/4" double-D center hole.

It was once asked why Gator Blades did not have one to fit a particular model. Their answer was they could not improve on the blade that was available from the manufacturer. Maybe they would in this case since it is no longer made.

The same blade was used on a 32" side discharge mower using 2 blades and that kit is nla from Toro also..

I'm in the same boat.

I have what I believe to be a 5-1482 mower deck that came on my 1969 GT 14 (1-7441) when I bought it 35 years ago.

I can't absolutely confirm that, since all evidence of model plates or decals are all gone, as was the belt guard when I bought it. But I believe from all the diagrams and the mower instructional diagram/parts list sheet which came with lot of other literature, I'm 99% sure that's what I have.

Two of the original spindles have been replaced not by me (the outer two), but the old style center spindle remains. I have always regularly lubed all the spindles, that probably explains their long life under my ownership.

The spindle has a 3/4" "double D" drive and its hub also includes two 1/4" roll pins which go into corresponding holes in the blade.

Those 1/4" holes are 1 5/8" center to center, and the center of each is 13/16" from the center of the "double D" 3/4" hole.

The original individual part number for that blade is 6758. A 3 blades set is listed at 100202 (in the original literature).

These are flat blades with the exception of the upturned backside edge behind each cutting edge.

The blades are 2" wide blades & 16" in length.

I understand originally all the spindles on this deck had the same feature and require the 3 hole 6758 blade.

I have no reason to change the center spindle as long as it is functioning......unless it gets to the point where I can't find new 6758 blades.

But I've looked about everywhere I can think of......Toro & RPCW are a no go. I don't see anything in the Stens line that would work.

If anyone has any clue where else to search or scope out, I'm all ears.

squonk, did you ever check your blade inventory?

Wonder if 2 holes were drilled for the 1/4" drive pins in a blade with a 3/4" hole if it would work?

That would work just fine, but blades are hardened and eat drill bits.  Find a blade with a round hole and the 1/4 inch holes already in them.  I bought them about 3 years ago.  Try Do-Cut's Power Equipment Warehouse.  I think that is where I bought them

elcamino/wheel,

Hey, no problem, I really appreciate you looking thru your inventory to see if you had these "three holer" blades.

I read these older style blades and their related spindles were very common and W.H. OEM stuff in the late 60's into the 70's 48" mower decks.

At some point they quit using that style and went to a one hole blade and related spindle.

This older style was a very secure and positive physical mating of the blade to the "double D" end of the spindle shaft. The other end of the spindle shafts where the driving pulley were attached was also "double D machined and required a matching "double D" pulley. As far as I can tell, any slippage in this drive system was going to be between the belts and their pulleys. There would have been none between blade/spindle/pulley. Essentially when everything was assembled the blade/spindle/pulley were one assembly locked together. Another plus in my mind is both the pulleys and the blades could be removed and reinstalled with smaller wrenches or sockets.....they are 9/16 heads as I recall. My newer outer spindles have much large nuts to secure the blades.

The part numbers for my GT 14 were as follows:

#2       8139    Housing spindle

#14     6756    Pulley - Middle Drive  (106848)

#15     6757    Pulley - Right & Left

#17     8200    Cup - Spindle

#18     933211     Roll Pin 1/4 x 3/4 (2 per Cup)

#20     1336    Washer - Dome

I believe these parts were used on numerous 48" mower decks. The literature I have identified as Form No. A-5197, Revised 8-5-70, lists the deck models 5-1482, 5-1483, 5-0481, & 5-1200 using the same diagram and parts list. I suspect they (the spindles and related parts) were used more widely, but I don't know the entire line of decks that where available, so I'm speculating about that statement.

Yesterday I ran across a couple of spindles sets for sale on eBay just like my remaining center drive spindle.

These spindles do not have the original fixing washers. Roll pins can be clearly seen.

This spindle from a different listing shows one roll pin, the "double D" machined spindle end, the dome washer, & the smaller 9/16 fixing bolt

Different shot of spindles from the second seller. Note domed washers and small headed mounting bolts.

Have you looked at the spindle ID charts?

When you get into each page of one type/design there is often the kits Wheel Horse put together to update the spindle assemblies.

Garry,

Thanks for the link.

That is a pretty amazing document.

It going to take me a while to absorb what's in it, even just restricting to how it relates to my specifically older style center drive spindle.
