rmaynard 15,409 #52 Posted March 18, 2016 John, You didn't wake up one morning and say "I'm going to have a stroke today", but you did. S**t happens that we never expect. You can lay down and let it beat you, or you can stand up and beat it. I know what you will do.

Brrly1 1,146 #62 Posted April 4, 2016 Hey everyone, I"m back and have been strolling around here of late. Here's what' going on in my life. Tomorrow it will be four weeks back I had my stroke, I got home on Thursday a week later, I was in the hospital for 9 days. I got out that evening and I got to spend a couple days with the other half. She was put back in the hospital herself for COPD that Saturday afternoon which is horrible!!! Well it looks like Linda is not going to make it home as she has been moved to Hospice. Which to tell you the truth, It's just Not A good thing right now. So you can see life can be Good or it can just take the life right out of you!!! If your young enjoy your life. Live it to it's fullest!! If your older do the same but it might take a while to get there!!

953 nut 55,004 #69 Posted April 4, 2016 John, I am so sorry to hear of your wife's worsening condition. Just when we were all celebrating your triumph over the stroke another tragic situation comes in. Hospice is a wonderful service and they provided a caring, compassionate, comfortable end of life surrounding for my mom, father in law and a couple of my good friends. You and Linda and your entire family will be in my prayers.
