lift cylinder length differences

Recommended Posts

I just happened to notice that my machines have different cylinders and lift arms.

I believe they must be matched to each other, so if you are replacing just one or the other make sure they are compatible.

Longer stroke cylinder also has a longer lift arm measured from the center of the pin that connects to the cylinder to the center of the shaft.

In the enclosed pictures and files, I am referencing my tractors. The Swept and HC in my case are late 80's tractors and the straight 520 and 416 are from the 90's

You have to wonder why the change...and by the way the cylinders on the older tractors Electro/Charger with Sundstrands were different yet, the housing is  9.5 inches long and the ports are not straight up the angle out about 15 degrees
