There's a new ultra violet activated glue they claim will fix anything!  I think you could present them with a good test!   "Bondic, Repair Anything!"

And I just bought a big roll of Gorilla Tape that I'm dying to try on something!

Aside from every ones comedic efforts I think it's time to order some new parts.  Although looking in you're base, it was at least time to change the oil don't you think.

Good luck, I'm pulling for ya.  B)

No abnormal sounds at all.

The rod broke when it was at TDC and the crank continued to spin...Thought that was odd the spinning continuing!

I bought two tubes of that stuff when it first came out. It is worthless for anything that requires any strength. It might work OK for filling gouges.

Pretty sure I read a review that said it really wasn't a glue, but rather a filler.  Plus only the areas exposed to the ultraviolet harden that rules out all but clear broken parts!

Yes, you have to build up layers.

KC,

Seems the luckiest of all engine failures involving the rod? If no crank pin damage, my, say a prayer or play the lottery or both! Yeah, compression not at issue so that flywheel tonnage will have her spinning a fair bit more if not under load.

You know what they say..."If you can jump it, you can weld it."  :)

WHX??

Had an ex that did that to a k341 once ...notice how I said ex....

Don't fret... We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster.

might need some help from this dude tho....
