That is an 8'X5' Sure Trac brand trailer.  My brother and I bought that about 15 years ago from Orscheln.  I built the sides for it with pressure treated lumber and painted the angle iron corners with a can of genuine :wh: red paint!   It stays in the barn between chores.

Oh that seat is right! I wonder how many seats Michigan Seat Company would have to be garanteed to make another run of the them? I can use at least 6! No wait 8!

I wasn't sure which thread to post this.  I decided on this one, because I'm the one that started it.  I could put it on the dealer thread also, I suppose, but a double post may be frowned upon.  I wasn't sure if the dealer thread is for existing or past dealers.  The admins can decide which is more appropriate.

Yep very cool old pics fella's! TDF5G's 552 is cool pulling the old early style dump trailer. Notice the first style of head lights on it, these are super rare nowadays! Also the handle on the dump cart is painted white or cream color, you don't see that ever!

Dad still has the dump cart.  Although the handle isn't as bright now as it was in the pic, it's silver cad plated.

First, let me say this is a very cool :text-goodpost:, thanks for sharing all of those photos.

The dump cart is a LTD-24 and was made from 1958 to 1961. I have one and it is great with the Suburban but not so much with the later :wh:.  The tongue on these trailers was made to fit into the smaller sleeve hitch on the RJs and Suburbans and had pivot points built into it, a real piece of work! Take a look at the manual

Grandpop had the same trailer with the 550 we all grew up learning to drive. That double pivot hitch made backing up especially hard. I owe that trailer for being very good at backing up with trailers. I didn't get my drivers license till I was 50. But despite that every time my wife and I towed it was I that backed the trailers into the driveway every time!

Grandpop always had some chore for us to do with the "Little Bastard," christened that due to the Clinton being so hard to start (engine was later replaced with a teccy). We moved many rocks and never busted any welds. I think each of us probably flipped the tractor at least once - easy to do with the mid engine suburbans.
