The C series is next on my list. Its a Great looking machine and a work horse. I was thinking of adding a light just like you have here, could come in handy

I actually added that rear light (and cigarette lighter socket) for illuminating a small float I pulled in a Halloween parade when my kids were small. It was in several parades and I polished it so much I actually rubbed through the thin paint on it.

I passed it along to Don Oliver to give it a good home and a fitting restoration someday ! (Right Don?!😎)

Looks like the ladies got into a little trouble and wound up in Mr McGregors Mobil jail cell 😬

Bobby Unser told the story that he hopped on the hood of the Wheel Horse because he wanted an extra $1,000 for winning the race that year.  He told the owner that he was not going to get off of the tractor until he agreed to give him the bonus!

Not a Wheel Horse but my Dad was a Simplicity man.

Here is a picture of him and I aboard his new 728 Broadmoor in the winter on 1972.

Not WH, but vintage.       My Great Great Grandfather   Corporal John Lee.   Fought in many Civil War battles including the final at Appomattox.553913735_JohnLee.png.ad897c5c356fe9772c9f523af3dff222.png

Not as vintage as most pictures here but that’s me on what I would find out was a hodgepodge of a wheelhorse.  Original tractor was a raider that was burned up in a fire when one grandfather owned it and other grandfather dug it out of the ashes and pieced it together with lawn ranger parts he had to make functional again

Last picture is that tractor today finally back the way it came from the factory

c-series don

That looks like the stage of production where they should have put Never-Seize on the steering shaft and the roll pin that goes through it!! 😂

Was looking through some things this evening and figured these belonged here! My grandparents and cousin with the Work Horse my grandpa bought new in ‘83 the picture is dated 1986 along with the original operators manual which was really cool to be able to read through. The tractor is still around too which is cool and one funny thing with it was my grandfather didn’t like the turf tires so the dealer swapped wheels off another tractor so somewhere out there there’s a wheel horse with the gloss white rears and this one has the beige white rims.

Cool photo.  What model?  I'm guessing a GT1800 since I don't see a lift arm in the photo.

It’s a GT1142 would definitely be cool to be an 1800 though.
