Removing tool box and fenders?

Recommended Posts

Hoping to get some opinions and pictures, has anyone removed the tool box and fenders on an older round hood?

Thinking it it would look cool without, any down side to this? Tractor is an 854...

Make it yours, that's what it's all about...I've seen guys do that and then get the older round seats and put on them. Other then the grass, mud and rocks hitting you instead of those old fenders, I don't think their would be any downside.  Post pics when your done!

My RJ came with no box and fenders so I installed some. I like it better with them on.

I like 'em either way.... just 4 bolts to remove/reinstall and you can have the look you prefer. The tool box does help reinforce the dash plate and belt and brake guards so without it you might have some vibration rattles as my 704 did.

I love the look of a horse with no fenders and tool box. But if be used as a worker it does come in handy. Most of mine have a strap for towing and hitch pin for hooking up my little trailer and a couple tools

Thanks for the feedback and awesome pics....the idea of creating some rattling or instability of the other tins makes me hesitant. Possibly why the previous owner welded the tool box to the stand.

Will probably wire wheel, prime and paint the fenders and throw them on.
