DennisThornton 4,769 #2 Posted February 16, 2016 I was aware of the " Allis-Chalmers Model G " but certainly never thought I'd have a chance to ever see a brand new one! Hmmm? Maybe someday we WILL see a brand new Wheel Horse!
tractorhogg 612 #3 Posted February 16, 2016 Actually I don't think a version of the G was ever out of production, several companies have ben building this little tractor for decades. One company also builds over a dozen attachments for the G and G replicas.

JAinVA Here is the Department of Labor CFR on ROPS. This is why you don't see them on Lawn Tractors, and probably why Garden Tractors are less than what they used to be. But you will see them on larger ZTRs that could be sold for commercial use. A quick read of the reg shows there may be a possibility that it could be sold here based on horsepower. https://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=STANDARDS&p_id=10957
shallowwatersailor 3,213 #12 Posted February 16, 2016 There was a seller on eBay about six months ago in California that had converted one to battery power. Price was $6K. They seem to be pretty popular with what used to be called truck farmers. How about a Chinese twin diesel powered version?

That's why your D-250 and D-200 (as well as the JD 400 and other similar models) were rated at 19.9 HP. That 0.1 HP meant no mandatory ROPS, seatbelt, etc. Steve
