Dimensions of Long Lift Link P/N 7706

Does anyone happen to know the overall length and the distance between the holes (center-to-center) on the long lift link (P/N 7706)?

I am hoping to fabricate one here directly for my C-161 Auto.

The eye bolt that goes thru the trunnion broke and I thought while I am doing repairs, why not add some down pressure with a solid lift link.  I could guesstimate, but thought I would check with the experts.  Thanks.

If this weren't a Monday I'd consider it a pretty good day - but being a Monday with a snowstorm expected to turn to rain/ice tonight I should get a powerball ticket today (if it weren't too treacherous to leave the house),.......

Lo and behold,.... Ace Hardware stocks a piece of zinc plated flat stock 12" long x 1-1/8" wide x 3/16" thick.  There are six holes spaced 2-1/8" apart.  All I needed to do was drill out the two end holes to 3/8" to accept the clevis pins and voila!  The same piece of stock could be cut in half to make two (2) short lift links!  :)

  NOW,....the question I have is,......CAN I  TRANSITION FROM:  (1) - down pressure (with the long lift link attached to both the attachment arm and the plow frame - for my paved lane) to (2) - "a bit of play" for my neighbor's stone driveway (with a short chain attachment from the plow frame to the attachment lift arm while the same long lift link is attached only to the attachment lift arm rather than both the attachment lift arm and the plow frame?....without harming anything?,....:huh::eusa-think:

I don't know about leaving both hooked up, but I run my plow with only a chain and it works just fine. Others will need to chime in about the solid link. Only drawback with the chain is no down pressure but mine works just fine...

i have a C120 with down pressure solid lift bar and other tractors with just the chain, and for plowing snow i would prefer plowing without down pressure. the wheel horse has enough weight to scrape pretty good, when you add down pressure for snow you catch every little bump on black top and at a minimum trip the plow or worse case go over the steering wheel. I love the down pressure when grading dirt just not for snow
