The throttle cable on my 312-8 broke, and I can't seem to find a replacment anywhere online.

Any help would be appreciated

I have the cable you want....   here is a pic of it.

Send an email to me at:   daveoman@windstream.net so I can tell you the price and payment method

(moderators don't like me telling prices, unless the ad came from "Classified... PARTS WANTED")

I just had to replace one of mine on a 520, but I think it is the same on the 300 series

Toro 115392

About $50 delivered from Jacks.

It comes with the cable, but you have to save the rubber knob from the old one.

Has anyone seen or have a link showing the bending plyers for the cable wires?

I'm stretching memory but think I saw these years ago.

Found and ordered a "bending" tool, just 'cause. Stems has 'em, many others sell 'em too.

Handy tool there, Ive never seen one.

I use 2 sets of needle nose holding with one set, bend the Z with other set.

Easy once you practice a couple times on the old cable first.  I was taught by my older brother on my mini bike cables back in the 60's so I done a few.   All he had to say was "Doing this makes one faster man".  Next went the gov don't you know?..lol

Surely my first go fast mod at around 8 or 9yrs old...lol

Using the corner of vise jaws to hold the cable steady & bend Z with needle nose does the trick here too btw.
