Few times I sure wished I had a set of chains for the tires, but all in all we all had a blast :handgestures-thumbupright:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a Cherry Bomb, something I had laying around the garage with a tractor flap on top.  For the internals, there is a 3/4" tank spud welded on the bottom to thread onto the street el and the top is muffled a bit with the stock silencer from my '05 Honda Shadow Sprit 750 pipes.  It's not too loud, here is a cell phone video my buddy took a year ago or so.

Now that I've got the C-101 to take care of lawn duties for a while, I'd really love to give it some much needed attention next spring!

Everyone seems to be having a good time. Are you sure that chain is heavy enough? LOL

what kind of car hood are you using. my uncles use to use a car hood from the 50's with the big round front and used for a sled till they got tired of pulling it back up the hill

82 Chevy 3/4 ton hood, I used to have a 50 ford truck hood that was great for pulling around too, I welded a hook on the outside of it to put the rope or chain through.  That rusted out and ended up in the scrap heap eventually.

He had some visitors this weekend, cousins from TN.  Sadly they have more snow than we do, but we fired up the tractor and the old hood again for another round of fun!

I finally decided to restore my grandpa's 1974 C-120 with the original HH120 motor on it.

It will be a big project and i look forward to getting it completed for everyone to see!

I would like to hear anyone's criticism or advice as i have never done a project this big especially engine work on this level!

Happy 4th to everyone out there!

BTW he (my grandpa) is waving at everyone in the picture!

      Hello all,
I have owned this wheelhorse tractor since I was 5 years old. My grandfather bought this as a kit and we built it together. Unfortunately my grandfather passed a few years later taking his knowledge about this tractor with him. I need help getting this thing running again. I'm not sure on where I can buy parts, I have the original owners manual floating around somewhere but any tips or advice on where I should get started or certain questions I should be asking would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Hey y'all, I'm looking for a key switch for my points ignition...  I picked one up in the electrical section at Napa but it's too long to fit behind the dash.  The one I have has an MIA key... since about day 2 of owning it.  I always just push the points button to kill it, but it sure would be nice to use a key again!  Any suggestions or part numbers to look for?

I just replaced the 3 speed transmission from my 502 with an 8 speed from a C-101.  the brake band location is different and the 8 speed brake bearing is loose, making me want to tear it apart.  Is there any confirmation that the only difference of these two cases is that tab?  could I put my 3 speed LH case on the 8 speed transmission, or is there more bosses in the hi/low case?  it would help prevent leaking oil and help to keep the brakes all set up right.

      thanks!
