Shynon 7,475 #1 Posted January 17, 2016 Did some searching and could not find my answer so I will ask. What switch is used for HL 5 headlights and where does it mount on a wedge hood? I have a set on my 1045 I need to wire up and I want to make sure I have the correct switch and mounting location. Pictures please if you have what I am looking for. Now I see two holes on the side of the hood stand that would be used to mount the switch. Now I need to find the mounting bracket or make one. RedRanger 1,469 #5 Posted January 18, 2016 To further this discussion.... In what year/model did WH change the switch bracket? The earlier bracket is a simple "Z" bracket carried over from the 1961-1962 HL-22 and the later kit has a newer more complicated better looking stamped bracket for the HL-5. The manuals for each kit reflect the HL-22 "Z" bracket in the drawings for both the HL-22 and the HL-5. So the early HL-5 kit still used the earlier HL-22 switch bracket. Was there a specific year or model the simple Z bracket went away? I've seen 63 and 64 models with the simple Z bracket.
