cleat 6,297 #6 Posted January 6, 2016 It's main function is to hold a bracket which limits side play of the blower and also holds the belt guard

shallowwatersailor 3,213 #8 Posted January 6, 2016 Does that bracket need to be removed to change back to mowing?
cleat 6,297 #9 Posted January 7, 2016 The part that bolts to the frame can stay but there is a bracket that slides into that which needs to be removed. The owners manual likely explains that better. Cleat
Pullstart 63,054 #10 Posted January 7, 2016 With cleat's pictures, I don't have a 520 or a snow blower but I'm pretty sure I know how to mount it and get it operating now! Great explanation.
muz123 1,192 #11 Posted January 13, 2016 This might be a dumb question but can you leave the bumper on and the belt guard when mowing?
cleat 6,297 #12 Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Bracket for the belt guard which is bolted to the frame can stay. The piece that slides into it and is just pinned into place, that limits side sway of the blower is removed. The belt guard itself which is held on with two washers and clips also gets removed. Basically, if it is bolted on it stays, if it is pinned it is removed. Cleat Edited January 13, 2016 by cleat
