Hello good morning yesterday I was inspecting my wheel horse 702 and did not see any identification engine you can tell me what kind of motor is to buy parts and check the manual?

Could owners of models 701 and 702 with what they believe to be an original engine post their engine numbers?

Toro lists both as using Kohler K161S-28622E  which I doubt is correct. The 701 used two starter-generator belts and the 702 used a single belt. That should have generated a different spec number.

It has been said the 701 did not have a compression release and the 702 did.

:text-coolphotos:        Hard to say what parts are original and what has been altered over the past 53 or 54 years. One thing I can say for cretin, you have a very nice 70? there.  :ychain:

better change the throttle hook up if you don't want to blow up the engine

tractor also has a 1963 frame and front axle so it may be a 753 with 702 parts on her

steering wheel is incorrect and choke cable is routed wrong

over all nice tractor older round noses are getting harder to find in good shape

Install the belt guard cover. The cover will support the belt and stop it from turning
