kasey54 305 #1 Posted December 24, 2015 Does anyone here know if this is a real rare item? I can't find a thing on it anywhere I've looked.
oldredrider 2,548 #2 Posted December 24, 2015 Not that common. I've only seen one. If I remember correctly, they were for a verticle shaft tractor but don't know which one.
JAinVA 4,619 #3 Posted December 24, 2015 I hate to disagree but I have 2 of them.It is the shell for a 36" SD that are used on the c,300 400 and 500 series.Luck JAinVA
JAinVA 4,619 #4 Posted December 24, 2015 Sorry guys my mistake.I didn't notice the left hand discharge. It looks exactly like my right hand discharge decks. The four bolt spindle mount and single front roller are the same. The 36" RDs look the same.I will have to say it might be rare at that.JAinVA

Terry M-(Moderator) 2,175 #7 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) Just a thought, and I don't mean to be funny....would that be a U.K.or other " meant for overseas " mower deck? Maybe Kinda like driving on the left side?? Edited December 25, 2015 by Terry M
RedRanger 1,468 #8 Posted December 25, 2015 Looks like a chopped up and modified RD to me.

Now that I look more at it......They could have just added the baffles and just cut and welded the left discharge section......you could br right @RedRanger... cleat 5,771 #11 Posted December 25, 2015 My old Simplicity was left hand discharge. The blades spun in the opposite direction to most and I had to buy actual simplicity blades. Cleat
Ed Kennell 37,985 #12 Posted December 25, 2015 Rear discharge for sure.....with baffles and side opening added. I have one (RD) that was converted to a SD.
Terry M-(Moderator) 2,175 #13 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) Hard to say.Just looked at some pics of these type of decks and it looks to be well done if its a modification. But like Cleat mentioned, you'd need different blades... Edited December 25, 2015 by Terry M

kasey54 305 #15 Posted December 25, 2015 As far as I can tell this is factory done. If I'm reading the tag right it says Mod. 5 2365 Ser. 728558
oldredrider 2,548 #16 Posted December 25, 2015 That # is listed above in Gary's reply. Note ccw rotation; this is not a "fabricated" deck, but a factory item.
