Ed Kennell 37,492 #1 Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) Did you register your drone today ? Please read who is required to register. You may be exempt if you are not a legal permanent US citizen. I assume this means Illegals, terrorists, and tempory residents are not required to register. http://www.faa.gov/uas/registration/ Edited December 22, 2015 by ekennell
953 nut 54,374 #2 Posted December 22, 2015 Also interesting to see that a 13 year old can register one and don't seem to need t parent or guardian co-signer.

SylvanLakeWH 25,162 #13 Posted December 22, 2015 Unbelievable...and really sad...Typical short sighted reaction leaving only legal users penalized for following the rules... On the upside - new use for Daisy Red Rider... " Hey watch it...you'll shoot your drone out...!" Just sayin...

WNYPCRepair 1,875 #19 Posted December 23, 2015 I read an article a couple of days ago that Congress is saying the law is illegal, that there is a law in place preventing the FAA from passing laws on RC aircraft
shallowwatersailor 3,213 #20 Posted December 23, 2015 I don't feel like being on the first plane that gets taken out by some stupid operator of a drone. Or worse yet have a plane crash on me seeing as I live in the landing path of the county airport. We had a private jet crash a year ago due to pilot error on the opposite side of the runway that killed two people on the ground as well as four occupants. That was bad enough. All it takes is some entitled person who's parents never said no to them and who thinks it is fun to get their drone in the flight path. They have ruined it for everyone. Remember a few months ago in California that had a drone(s) in the airspace of aerial tankers and they couldn't drop the fire retardants on the fire. There was a lot of unnecessary property damage. People can't seem to self-regulate. The FAA has been warning about doing something, and now they have.
