WNYPCRepair 1,914 #1 Posted December 15, 2015 Trying to determine the size of the roller chain. Wanted to see if the New Holland version was made by/is the same as the Toro version. Or simpler, anyone know what size chain the NH model takes? The mule drive is pretty impressive on these things. Holy cow, it's heavy!
WNYPCRepair 1,914 #2 Posted December 15, 2015 OK, it appears they are the same, so does anyone know the chain type/size for an XI series 44" 2 stage blower? Doesn't show on parts listing
doc724 925 #3 Posted December 15, 2015 Single stage blowers are #40 chain. Don't know about 2 stage xi blowers. One way to tell is to measure the chain width (between plates) and go to a website like roller chain for less and check dimensions.

Rick_in_CT 156 #5 Posted December 16, 2015 Here you go: The chain is #40, length is 46 links not counting the master link. Each link counted is a full dog bone (two tubes). This was from a full re-build that I once did on my 5xi 44" two stage blower. I no longer have the tractor but I still have all of my notes. Good luck, Rick

Good luck, Rick Thank you very much, chain fit perfectly. While replacing the chain, I realized the top bearing behind the main pulley at the top is shot, as well as the bearings on both ends of the auger. Time to see if I can find replacements, hopefully locally. I'll say it again, this guy did not believe in maintenance. Headlights were so corroded they wouldn't turn on, took the bulb holder apart, sanded everything clean, and installed LED bulbs.
