car 24 #1 Posted December 14, 2015 Well I've painted the hood, it turned out really good. Now my question is do I wet sand it and/or apply a clear coat to it or just leave it alone? I will say this, the area I'll be mowing doesn't have shrubs or tree branches that will come in contact with the hood.
rmaynard 15,737 #2 Posted December 14, 2015 If it looks good, leave it alone.
953 nut 56,213 #3 Posted December 14, 2015 Since it is a worker rather than a trailer queen I would leave well enough alone. If you get it too shiny and smooth every little hard earned scratch or nick will stand out. PS;
AlwaysLookin80 1,308 #6 Posted December 14, 2015 Workers I leave with original patina, I only paint ones that have no work in their future. First ones a worker, second is a non- worker
