TEAM580 3 #1 Posted November 28, 2015 Is the 704 hood unique to that model? I bought a half tractor at an auction and think its a 704. There was no rear and no engine. I have a rear from a workhorse tractor that will make it whole and will find an engine for it. Probably an OHV recoil start. Thanks. Tom
squonk 41,793 #2 Posted November 28, 2015 I think the 704/604 hoods are the same. did you get a hood with the tractor? I have a 604 hood if you need one. It's not the best but better than nothing. Here's what my 704 looks like:
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,168 #3 Posted November 28, 2015 The Lawn Rangers from 1964-1968 used the 4975 hood as did the 1964 models 604, 654 and 704. Garry
TEAM580 3 #4 Posted November 29, 2015 Okay... A little more investigating. Brought it in the garage tonight. It came with 8" fronts and 12" rear tires not on the tractor , however after some gentle sanding on the belt guard it does say Lawn Ranger. I have a couple pics on my phone of it (have no idea how to get them on here though). If someone could email me I can forward them. Thanks. Tom
