prondzy 3,873 #10 Posted November 29, 2015 Well I think I've kept you waiting long enough. It was a fun trip met some interesting people. Shynon and wheelhorseman1000 picked up some tractors and this here is why I drove 3 states, 691 miles, for 15 hrs yesterday.
DennisThornton 4,769 #11 Posted November 29, 2015 Love my much newer York Rake but it doesn't have the same "Wow!" factor! Weight platform on the back?
squonk 40,739 #12 Posted November 29, 2015 does it have the drop down blade? I've had 2 of them with it it and it's a nice feature.
DennisThornton 4,769 #13 Posted November 29, 2015 Not my 48" York and not my 6ft either, but I have considered adding something. This new to you plate just cable clamp on? If so I've never seen that style! Simple but functional. I've got a much heavier duty box blade for serious stuff but having that plate would sometimes keep me from having to swap implements. 953 nut 54,371 #14 Posted November 29, 2015 Love the intrigue and secrecy you had going on. I have a three point York 48" with the drop down blade also, it came with my GT-14. I don't get too much use out of it since we have a paved driveway but it is handy for smoothing out the garden after plowing.
DennisThornton 4,769 #15 Posted November 30, 2015 I think adjustability would be great. Most I've seen just drop down to a height and that's it. Sort of rake vs blade.
prondzy 3,873 #16 Posted November 30, 2015 No squonk, it doesn't have the drop blade that was a peice if steel they clamped on to it. The bracket on the back was for suitcase weights? Not sure why, but both of these have been removed.
