snowhound 105 #1 Posted November 27, 2015 Has anyone put a cab made for an xi on a 400 series? I got a good deal on a xi cab that is in poor/fair condition and am putting it on my 418-8. I'd like to know what modifications others made to accommodate the crank for turning the chute. A hole needs to be made in one of the windows and I am concerned about the window splitting if I try making a slit so I'm thinking of making a hole with a fine toothed hole saw instead. One suggestion for the hole is to maybe use a soldering iron to burn a hole through the vinyl window.
