Mike_Eddleman 70 #1 Posted November 25, 2015 Got my D 180 all rewired and got it to hit a few times the other day. Went today and got new gas line and replaced it all and the vacuum line going to the fuel pump. After quite a few turn overs finely the fuel filter filled with gas and then it happened. IT FIRED UP, the mufflers are gone and the thing sounded like a airplane starting up. After about a minute or two the engine smoothed out and ran like a champ. I have to get a new battery for it. will a big lawn mower battery work or does it need a car battery? Now all i need is something to do with it. cant wait until garden time

DougC 2,641 #3 Posted November 25, 2015 The thrill of victory. Good job Mike, I bet you could find some attachments for it and entertain your self for days....... The neighbors already know the mufflers are shot

Sparky-(Admin) 21,075 #6 Posted November 25, 2015 That's great! >Battery....a lawn/garden tractor battery would be fine but buy the one with the most cranking amps. Mike......
953 nut 54,343 #7 Posted November 26, 2015 I would go with the 420 CCA Lawn and Garden battery. Tractor Supply has about the best price in my area.
squonk 40,734 #8 Posted November 26, 2015 Make sure your battery cables are in good shape too. all the cranking power in the world means squat if the cables can't carry it.
