Xjchief 128 #1 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) I just picked this up on eBay. It was listed as unknown brand and from I can gather it seems like an Iron Age but not sure if anyone has one that's complete a pic whould be great. I know it needs the hopper and front wheel that drives the sprocket with a chain. I thought it whould be cool because I don't have to hunt down seed plates it just has a wing nut and a slide. My plan is to get it working and make a bracket so I can tow it behind the rj. Also what is everyone using to just rub it down with"oil" to save the patina because there is still original paint left. Don1977 604 #2 Posted December 13, 2015 That part of a larger piece of equipment, possible a grain drill or no till planter. It's chain driven from a ground. drive from the 15" or 16" tires'.
6wheeler 603 #3 Posted February 11, 2016 Its an old unit from an Oliver planter I think. Possibly a New Idea too.It needs to be ground driven like Don said. It is missing the seed hopper. It looks like a plate type so you will probably need to find plates for it too. Good Luck.
