oliver2-44 9,923 #27 Posted November 23, 2015 To polish black knobs and handles I use a cloth disc on my bench grinder and a stick of white rough polishing compound from Lowes. It works good on the black bakealite shift knobs. it also works good on the plastic knows but you need to use a light tough or you can burn the plastic.

Safety tip' thread them onto a long bolt with a locking nut so you won't get your fingers in the way of the buffing wheel.

Rest assured, no matter what problems you encounter, someone on here has already found a solution and will be willing to help. And don't be concerned with the spelling....most of us don't have a very good cents,,er scents..er sense of what is correct.

Cole J. 71 #39 Posted December 11, 2015 What type of grey paint is closest to the grey used on these tractors
grine_22 145 #40 Posted January 2, 2016 What are ya painting grey?
Cole J. 71 #41 Posted January 3, 2016 I'm not painting it completely grey I was thinking about doing grey pin stripes on the hood or something like that I don't know I'm not even close to that step any way. Just brain storming. On the hood it at the time on being new it looks like it had a grey decal down the middle of the hood I wanted to recreat that with paint instead of a sticker

After the gray has dried completely apply the masking and spray one more coat of gray. Anything that bleeds under the tape will be the same as what you covered. now spray the RED and it won't be able to get under the tap. Nice clean line when you remove it.

Retired Sparky 526 #50 Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) You might try toothpaste or some polishing compound. Although I've owned my WH for 30yrs. I still haven't learned everything there is to know about my tractor. I've only been on this site for a couple of months and I'm learning something new every week. Again, welcome to this site. Lots of great guys & gals with mountains of info. Edited February 12, 2016 by Retired Sparky
