What is special about it?

A lot of the "Special" :wh: units were limited production using up excess parts from previous models. Also, a lot of them had a Briggs rather than a Kohler and they sold at a lower price.

Post a few pictures and they might generate more answers.

If I recall correctly, it is a '75 model with a Tecumseh HH120 instead of a Kohler K301.  The only Tecumseh engines in the C-series were used in '74-'75 because of a supposed engine shortage at Kohler. In '74, some C-160 8-speeds and some C-120 Autos and 8-speeds were produced. In '75, the C-160s went completely back to Kohlers and the C-120 8-speeds with Tecumsehs were badged C-120 special. The Tecumseh powered Autos were dropped after one year.
