Rear Tiller Question in November...............

Recommended Posts

I have down loaded  the tiller  manuals I can find here on the forum and can not seem to find out what fluid to use in the tiller and the proper procedure to check full level. The tiller is already mounted and working but other than a test till I dont want to use it on our large garden until I change the fluid. I would assume  regular 80/90 wt gear oil but thought I better ask first. It is a 1976 36" tiller Tag says 67-36TL01.

This tiller operator manual should be the same
http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/343-tiller-36in-1980-1982-07-36tl01-om-tipl-snpdf/

Oil capacity and weight is on the last page.

Garry

Adding - The 1975 manual says the oil should be up to the fill plug hole with the tiller sitting on the ground.
