jimkemp 527 #1 Posted November 8, 2015 Can someone out there tell me what size is the chain on a model #66212 8 snow blower , I just bought a snow blower with a whole truck load of parts , everything on the blower is good except the chain is very rusty , would like to find a new one but don't know what size ( pitch ) to look for , Help Please
JAinVA 4,629 #2 Posted November 8, 2015 If you can measure the pin to pin length then the pitch can be determined. One half inch is #40 chain.McMaster Carr's website can give you the measurements for differentchains.I hope this helps.Luck JAinVA

Lagersolut 723 #5 Posted November 8, 2015 Jim, if it turns out to be a # 40 chain I got a 10ft roll at tractor supply for I think 20 bucks - enough to make 2 chains .Also purchased a chain breaker off the bay for 23 dollars - not real cheap but after I used it was worth the price over the old way of grinding and trying to push the pins out with a punch .This guy here - nice addition to any tool box and well made .
