CABLE TIRE CHAINS?

Recommended Posts

ronhatch

Just mounted my 42" plow and a 110 lbs of weight on the drawbar of my WH.  The little 8 HP 867 can really push the snow on my blacktop driveway as long as there's no ice under the snow. Because I have 14" rims, there is very little clearance between the tire and the fender, so this year I decided to give cable tire chains a try. Has anyone gone this route and how well do they work? Thanks

This is the cable tire 'chains' I ordered from Amazon for $38.00 for my plow tractor. I'm sure they will work better then what I had before, which is nothing. 81OPqDJiE3L._SL1500_.jpg

I have z chains or however they are called for my snow plow trucks, those things make 2 wheel feel like 4 low!  I love em for big storms and lots of snow to push when the roads seem impassable, I have to believe tractor chains will be just as great.

Chains are a must! Never tried the cables but always use binders. :twocents-02cents:

Those are very similar to the ones I bought. They look to be made out cable too, but yours have a different pattern.  I think Walmart sells the Peerless brand.
