WNYPCRepair 1,918 #4 Posted October 27, 2015 That is a beautiful tractor. both the restoration, and the machine itself. I didn't even know MF made garden tractors. Is that a forward/reverse pedal? Nice! I like the mid and rear PTO, too. Is that an Onan stuck in there? By the way, the title says 1878. I was expecting an ancient steam engine, LOL If you want to have some fun, find an old mannequin, wrap it in the plastic you painted over, and put it out with the trash. elliot ness 1,916 #5 Posted October 27, 2015 Holy Cow that is nice looking . How long did it take to restore? About a week all total . I stripped the hood and fender pan and foot rests to bare metal, that took 2 days. Thanks for asking. That is a beautiful tractor. both the restoration, and the machine itself. They made the 1855 for 2 yrs, 77 & 78, and yes it's an Onan 18 hp. and the pedal is a forward and reverse pedal. It has Hi & Low also tapered bearing in the front axles 1in. spindles] The paint on the hood somehow got a bit cloudy, I will have to buff it out later. I also have a Bolen 1455 with a kwik way loader that I need to clean up and it is a real work horse.
