Raider12 13 #1 Posted November 26, 2008 I have the chance to land a new 35 hp Commercial Briggs. Im thinking to my self. what kind of project this may work well on? I first was thinking that this engine on a snow blower I could throw snow all the way back to where it came from! Or maybe a wild 6x6 or something like I have seen here on the site! What your thoughts?
linen beige 14 #2 Posted November 26, 2008 Put it on a trac vac and get NEXT years leaves! Mounted into a D it would handle three 5 foot finish mowers rigged batwing style. That should cut (no pun intended) mowing time a bit. Did Brinly make a five bottom plow? But two words quickly come to mind... ROAD GEAR! :horseplay:
Teddy da Bear 11 #3 Posted November 26, 2008 Build the mule that Wheel Horse never made. Go to a salvage and get a red one that has been wrecked.
Mith 2 #4 Posted November 26, 2008 I have the 31HP version on my artic. Pretty nice engines, you can mod them to give 60+HP if you desire. Make a neat drag-mower.
Curmudgeon 28 #5 Posted November 26, 2008 I've fantasized about engines like that..... Just tuck it in as best as you can and have the most powerful Wheel Horse tractor. Can you say C-350? It'll run any attachment made, and then some. Hmmm, I vision a 9 blade monster deck............................... Better have level ground!!! :horseplay: :horseplay: :horseplay: :horseplay: :horseplay:

Mith 2 #8 Posted November 27, 2008 I never thought you could have turned this engine up to 60hp! I havent, but I have heard it can be done. New carbs etc. I dont have any interest in doing so myself. They say you can get 40Hp out of the Kohler singles?!? Something I would note though, if you are used to the torque of the Kohlers, these Briggs are a little disappointing. Sounds wicked though!
