Hi Gary,
What paint do you use?  
Is that Rustoleum Sunrise Red or a high temp engine paint?
Any special prep other than just cleaning?
Do you use a primer?

Here you go Craig. 1st coat.

I use 500 degree engine enamel paint it usually stays  buy Dupli-Color#1605 Ford Red  this also is resistant to oils. I do not prime I just spray it on. As long as it is clean. Close enough I say it is not being Judged.

Craig I had all shrouds fine sand blasted to take off all old paint. I saved all bolts redid them with a 6" wire wheel them clear coat them.  I MEAN ALL BOLTS.  When you are retired I guess you have time to do this. It is getting there.  Will be a nice winter project to get it running.

Jim it is new recoil that I had. So I guess extra rope for different applications. I have to trim it when it is all  back together.
