Lane Ranger 10,853 #1 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) I have the 1967 Lawn Ranger with the snowblower all greased and ready for action. The 1961 Wheel Horse 701 with hydraulic pump is lifting the 1962 BD-4262 Snowplow! First time using the 701 and the Lawn Ranger is already a tested winter warrior. bean 85 #3 Posted October 12, 2015 Lanehave you ever used the 38" plow on the lawn ranger? if so, how did it perform?
Lane Ranger 10,853 #4 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) I used it once at my sister's house. The Lawn Ranger plow does not have all the spring flex in it and if you hit something sticking up in the plowing route it can bend or bump the lift pieces pretty hard. It will do a good job on straight plowing but you have to get off the tractor and change the angle with the pin up front instead of the pivot handle on the other type wheel horse plows. It is not my favorite attachment ! Didn't I sell you one two years ago? Have you had a chance to use yours? Edited October 12, 2015 by Lane Ranger

cheesegrader 433 #9 Posted October 13, 2015 I knew we would get some more Winter team pictures. Those are just stunning. Almost too stunning to take out in the snow.I really like the 701. Something about the rear fenders over the narrow ags. Classic beauty.
Lane Ranger 10,853 #10 Posted October 13, 2015 (edited) I have been using the 1967 Lawn Ranger for at least six years now and this will be the first for the 701 . I did use the 701's plow on my brother's 633 two years ago. I paid more for the paint for the snowplow than I did for the plow ! I just had the handle heated and bent to go pass the hydraulic pump belt guard. The pivot handle would not clear the guard and I was determined to use it this winter! This is where I bought the Wheel Horse logo tractor umbrella. Very well built.Heritage Farm Power http://www.tractorumbrellas.com/lawn-garden-umbrellas Edited October 14, 2015 by Lane Ranger
