1969 Wheel Horse 1257 42" plow for sale

Recommended Posts

I have a plow I listed for sale for $300 for a 1967, 1257 Wheel Horse. I see 200 people have viewed it but not one interested person. My question is am I asking too much? And if so what should I be asking for it. I inherited the tractor and 42" plow but don't need the plow. Any help would be appreciated.

Your price might be a bit to steep. I just sold (last week) a 48" plow with the axle mounting bracket AND wheel weights for less than your asking price.

The axle mounting bracket comes with it. I do not have wheel weights though. Hence the second part of the question. How much should I ask for it. It has been kept inside since it was new. There is no rust on it. Just some missing paint from the couple times it was used to move dirt.

42" is not as desirable as 48" so you will probably see between 75 and 150 depend on the condition, 150 being nearly perfect.

The ones that go up on Craigslist and disappear are priced at $100-150 for 48" blades. There has been a 48" blade for $300 on Craigslist for the better part of two months.

The axle bracket goes from $25 to $50.  :)  Personally, I think $50 is high for that.  $175 is on the high side of OK for the snow blade.

Remember, people are buying some pretty nice, running horses for $300.

Also depends on where you are. A round here used mower places around here we trying to get $175 for a nice blade with bracket.
