not enough travel. what am I doing wrong

So.  I have a cultivator and a plow on a c160 auto. When I mount them I am not getting enough travel with the lift.  If I adjust the cobbled together linkage high enough to travel with out dragging the implement in the dirt it doesn't lower enough into the ground.  First picture is of lift all the way up.  Second is with lift all the way down.  Others are of linkage
