1940's midland

so I just picked up what I think is a 1940's midland walk behind in ruff but ok shape and here's my resto so far. I think the original motor is supposed to be a Briggs but unknown. Tires are shot but rims seem to be not bad. Instead of putting the original size of 5x12 I think the 6x12 look good or maybe some big fat 23x12 ags? Who knows. Also trying to think what motor to do I have a spare k181 or maybe the harbor freight motor?

The Midland tractors were Lime Green so that looks actually like a 1951-52 Montgomery Ward Hoe Trac/Chor Trac/Plow Trac made by Midland which were Red with Lime Green wheels. It would have either a Wisconsin ABN (Plow Trac), a Clinton 1100 (Chor Trac), or a Clinton 700 (Hoe Trac) engine originally. A Harbor Freight 3hp or 6.5 hp engine should just bolt on if you are just trying to get it to run.

I would suggest going to Yahoo Groups and subscribe to the two Simplicity Walking Tractor groups.
