Bobster 19 #1 Posted September 1, 2015 I have two 857's and the throttle is very sensitive on both. Hard to dial in just the right throttle. I include a pics of one of the engines. Please notice the "arm" that the cable is hooked to. The other engine does NOT have this "arm" and the cable is hooked into one of the holes in the "Ring".The pictured engine seems to be better but still very sensitive. How much trouble can I get into by trying to remove the "ring" and adding the arm?Where do I find a good breakdown and the governor system on these K181 engines? Thanks, Bob
CasualObserver 3,410 #2 Posted September 2, 2015 Well don't remove the "ring" as you call it. It's the speed control disk and is part of the spring action of the governor. You could try flipping that cable clamp holding the throttle to the other side (as the picture sits... take it from the top to the bottom. Might give you a better angle to connect to the speed control disk. All the governor adjustment stuff is in the engine manual. You can find it in the download section. As for your other engine... put up a picture.
