Ed Kennell 38,227 #1 Posted September 1, 2015 These two will be sold at tomorrows auction. Any interest or guesses on value? The 1955 Bantam in JD paint runs and has good straight tin.The blower looks good but the recoil starter has been removed, so I can't start it. The Tecumseh looks good. It's about 14" wide.
jimt1971 237 #2 Posted September 1, 2015 That Bantam will bring at least $800.00.
Ed Kennell 38,227 #3 Posted September 1, 2015 What are you saying Jim? If I can buy it for less than $800, should I buy it for you? Any idea what year the blower was made? Gotta believe that little Tecky has some value.
953 nut 55,321 #4 Posted September 1, 2015 If you can buy the Bantam for less than $200 you can buy it for me! I am trying to figure out how the "Roll-a-matic" works on a single wheel front end.
CasualObserver 3,408 #5 Posted September 1, 2015 I'll agree with that $800, although, is that at an estate auction? Always depends on the buyers in the crowd. Looks to be complete and in pretty nice shape. Paint is an easy fix. That techy blower is of little value. Be lucky to bring $50-75 in my opinion.
squonk 41,155 #6 Posted September 1, 2015 Man you got some good auctions to go to. All they auction off up here are salt dips and glassware!
CasualObserver 3,408 #7 Posted September 2, 2015 Please update... surely this auction is over. Did you buy a Bantam?
Ed Kennell 38,227 #8 Posted September 2, 2015 Just got home from the auction Jason. I bid the snow blower to $25 and let it go for $30.The auctioneer told me the Bantams owner called and put a reserve on the tractor that was so high, he felt it would never sell. He is going to contact the owner and possibly sell it next week. I'll report back next Wed.
Ed Kennell 38,227 #9 Posted September 11, 2015 OK, the Bantam was sold for $950. The auction waived some of their fee to meet the $1K reserve.
